Privacy policy
Qegnet ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your data when using our app, which includes three types of users: Contestants, Judges, and Moderators.
By using Qegnet, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our platform.
Contestants may delete their accounts at any time, provided they have not applied to an active contest. However, deleting your account does not remove contest submissions you have made. Contest submissions are considered the property of Qegnet and cannot be deleted upon account deletion.
Judges cannot delete their account while assigned to an active contest. Even if they delete their account, their name and participation in the contest will remain associated with the contest for record-keeping and transparency purposes.
Moderators cannot delete their account while assigned to an active contest. Similar to Judges, even if they delete their account, their name and activities associated with the contest will remain on the platform.
Any user who is a super admin of a company, and whose company has an active contest (a contest where the inner announcement date has not passed), can't delete their account until the announcement date has passed.
Ownership of Submissions: All contest submissions made by Contestants to a contest are the exclusive property of Qegnet. By submitting content to the platform, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, and irrevocable license to use, display, distribute, and promote the content in connection with the operation and promotion of the platform.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. If you delete your account, we may retain certain personal information and contest submissions for legal, administrative, or business purposes.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our platform, analyze usage, and provide personalized content. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us track and remember your preferences.
We may use third-party services, such as payment processors, cloud storage providers, and analytics platforms, to help us operate and improve our services. These third-party services may have access to your personal information as necessary to perform their functions but are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
If you are accessing our platform from outside the country in which we operate, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries that may not have the same data protection laws as your country of residence. By using our platform, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in such jurisdictions.
Our platform is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes by posting a notice on our platform or sending an email notification. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
